Here we announce first 3 bands: from Germany, from Sweden and Israel!
THE RUINS OF BEVERAST (Germany) - atmospheric black metal
The beginning of THE RUINS OF BEVERAST was in 2003 in Aachen, Germany. The special thing about the band is that it is a one-man project mentored by Alexander von Meilenwald. Though it is a quite common phenomenon between Black Metal bands, in this case one could be amazed by his productivity and creativity. Alexander has already released four full-length albums, two splits, one compilation and debuted with a demo album. All his works have been evaluated very highly by reviewers. One of them says that it is “one of the best Black Metal musicians in Germany”, and other says that “musically, artistically, lyrical this is as unique as it gets in the Metal underground”.
One can be sure that during the festival you will be bewitched by music of THE RUINS OF BEVERAST!
SATURNALIA TEMPLE (Sweden) - occult stoner doom metal
If your playlist perpetually plays such bands as Electric Wizard, Sleep or Dopethrone, SATURNALIA TEMPLE should become your favorites of the festival. Their music is a concentrated Stoner/Doom with a light extra of Black Metal. It is a spaced-out depression, sinking into one‘s veins with the speed of a snail. Like venom, it spreads through the body to the brain and leaves you breathless.
In SATURNALIA TEMPLE concerts music bleeds out of speakers and paints whole area red. In this bloody Walpurgis night at the side of Lūkstas lake there surely be some of those, who will sell their soul to the devil, or at least to this magnificent band!
ROMUVOS (Lithuania / Izrael) - epic folk metal
The one-man folk metal band ROMUVOS has already one full-length album under their belt - “Romuvan Dainas”, which we will hear during the festival. The leader of band Velnias has already announced that second album “Infront Of Destiny“ is about soon to be released as well. The interesting thing is that the performance in “Kilkim Žaibu” will be special by a couple of reasons. First of all, it will be a great opportunity for the performer to meet his countrymen. Secondly, it will be … the first ever band’s concert! Velnias thinks that it is very symbolic to make his first concert is the motherland, where ROMUVOS belongs!
