Here we announce second 3 bands: from Austria, United Kingdom and Latvia!
SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH (Austria) - death metal
The day Pungent Stench disbanded in 2007 marked the loss of one of death metal's most unique originators...and the calls for a reunion have not ceased ever since. Although disappointed by the sudden split, founding member singer/guitarist Martin "El Cochino" Schirenc continued to release music and play concerts with various other projects, before he finally agreed to attend a Pungent Stench tribute show in Istanbul, where he played several songs from his former band under the moniker "The Church of Pungent Stench". Subsequently, Schirenc received numerous offers from various promoters to also bring this show to other cities. It wasn’t until 2013 that Schirenc finally agreed to take "The Church of Pungent Stench" on the road to grace stages worldwide. These days due to a legal dispute, the band was forced to change its name and is now touring as "SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH". However, the mission remains the same: bringing the music of Austria’s sickest band back to life and keeping the flame burning by refusing to praise the ashes! It will be the first time they destroy the stage of KILKIM ŽAIBU!
SCYTHIAN (United Kingdom) - death thrash metal
Born in London and forged in fire and ice, SCYTHIAN are the sound of war made flesh. Brought up on the teachings of Bathory, Sodom and Morbid Angel, this idiosyncratic UK band burst onto the scene in 2007, and just recently released their second album "Hubris in Excelsis" on Hell's Headbangers Records. It has been hailed as one of the best death metal offerings of the year. "Hubris in Excelsis" is a dystopian nightmare, filled with tales of arrogance and human error. Dead Gods, decaying worlds and apocalyptic visions take the band further down their own psychotic fusion of Bathory meets Angelcorpse. Songs that scream of the downfall of Gods and their laws, crumbling, desolate places and the darkest reaches of space. SCYTHIAN looks forward to performing it for you in the unique setting of Kilkim Žaibu and the wilds of Žemaitija. A unique performance of psychedelic death/thrash metal awaits all Baltic metal maniacs!
ESCHATOS (Latvia) - progressive black metal
Eschatos is a Latvian black metal band from Rīga, Latvia, formed in 2012. The lineup is composed of themselves proven musicians who have previously worked together in bands as Ocularis Infernum, Grondh, and Velna Krusti. The band's debut album "Hierophanies", released in 2013, garnered significant critical acclaim for its unique sound. It was followed in 2015 by "The Grand Noir". To truly understand what Eschatos is, look inside your own abyss. Look inside those things that make you feel condemned, uncomfortable and wary, things that make you raging mad and rabid, things that make you feel hateful. This is the fuel that burns the black flame of art that is Eschatos - untamed, lawless, pure and destructive.
