Festival program
15th ancient traditions and heavy metal music festival KILKIM ZAIBU once again will take place on summer solstice - June 20-22, 2014 at Varniai, Lithuania. Both programs – Summer Solstice and traditional Lightning – will be held in one common setting. The festival area will be divided into two parts: an active concert, events and games area and tent camping, recreation and rest area.
June 20, Friday – Summer Solstice program.
18.00 Opening of the festival and fire ignition, presentation of Summer Solstice traditions, a nine herb gathering, crowns weaving, games, spells....

01.30 – 05.00 Ancient program with ONTRĒP: wreaths floating in the lake, dancing and singing around the bonfires, men and women song competitions, beer contest - who drinks and don’t get drunk before sunrise, at the sunrise sings all those who remained alive.
During the Summer Solstice program there will be demonstrations of ancient crafts, blacksmithing, a Baltic jewellery, silver casting, bone processing, amber processing, tape weaving, sewing clothes, leather goods, pottery.
Medieval fights will be presented and competed with the audience by history clubs: Jotva, Pera sudinoi, Leitgiris, Heiligenberg, and individual soldiers from Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Samogitian horses and fights while riding them will be demonstrated by the history club Suduvos tauras (Suduva pier).

Additional entertainments and services
Horse riding for children, live football broadcast and historical films at the summerhouse, the opportunity to swim with the ancient Viking ship, basketball and volleyball courts, boats, water bicycles, swimming tubs, tents and sleeping bags for rent, musical merchandise and marketplace. All the information will be given at the Info center.
Entrance
Tickets will be sold at the entrance to the area.
During the festival ticket for two or three days will cost 120 litas (35 euro).
One-day ticket for any day of the event will cost 70 litas (21 euro). One-day tickets are only sold at the door of the festival.
When purchasing a ticket only to the first or second day it will cost as 3 days ticket (120 litas / 35 euro) – 50 litas / 15 euro difference will be given back after leaving the festival area, at the exit. This must be done until 12:00
Family ticket for two or three days will cost 180 litas (53 euro). Family ticket is valid on arrival for the whole family together and after the presentation of documents proving paternity.
Disabled and senior citizens (retired) gets 50% discount.
Car parking and camping – for free. There will be secured car parking area too.
