OBTEST has not played live for a long time, because lead singer Deivis is currently living in the United States.
But the band does not break apart and guarantees they won't ever look for another vocalist. Their performances are very rare, only for special occasions when the vocalist is able to join the band. And such exclusive event will happen summer at "Kilkim Žaibu" festival! It will be the only OBTEST's concert in 2017!
The band will perform during the best time, on the big stage, on the main day of the festival - Saturday. Do not miss this rare chance to see Lithuanian pagan metal legend OBTEST live!
And we are over the moon now, because we can present another Baltic metal heavy-weight band SKYFORGER, and they will perform their FOLK program at the "Kilkim Žaibu" for the first time!
They are famous not only as a metal act. Let us once again remember that SKYFORGER can be a damn good folk group, too! Back in 2003, the Latvians recorded the excellent folk album “Zobena Dziesma” (Sword Song). After the album's release, several folk concerts followed and two of them were in Lithuania. That was really long time ago. Later, SKYFORGER returned to heavier music.
And now after a 14-year break, the band has decided to go back to their roots in Folk and to revisit those ancient melodies in a truly rare stage performance. In the 18 year history of KILKIM ŽAIBU, this will be the first time when our Latvian brothers climb on stage without the guitars. This show will surely conjure a special atmosphere for both fans and us, the organizers. Just imagine SKYFORGER revisiting those centuries-old melodies, bonfires burning on the lakeside, once again bringing the magic chants of ancient warriors back to life.
Come witness a manifestation of true Baltic spirit!
