The Baltic culture and extreme music festival KILKIM ŽAIBU has found a home in the welcoming lands of Aukštaitija. From 25 to 27 June 2026, the festival will return to the Ukmergė region, taking place once more on the estate of the President Antanas Smetona Manor Museum.
Several fruitful years of collaboration with Ukmergė’s cultural and local authorities have inspired us to carry on this wonderful partnership, and the now-familiar location has become a cosy, spacious home for the festival. The convenient location allows us to bring even more international artists to Lithuania, so in 2026 audiences can expect an even fuller and more amped-up musical line-up.
Next year’s edition falls just as the Midsummer festivities draw to a close, but since the ancient Balts never limited the festivities to a single day, elements of Midsummer will naturally be woven into our event too. As always, the dual festivity of Midsummer with Thunder will foster an atmosphere, where age-old traditions blend seamlessly with the thunderous sound of metal.
Over more than a quarter of a century, the festival has raised and accompanied multiple generations of heavy-music fans. We have seen locations and team members change, enjoyed hundreds of performers, and watched the Baltic community of metal lovers grow. We have had it all: hardships, breakthroughs and moments of doubt. Yet the thing that kept us moving forward was the understanding that this event is more than just a festival – it has a deeper purpose, one we may only fully grasp with time.
The fiery rune of KILKIM ŽAIBU has now firmly rooted itself in the Baltic heavy-music landscape – and we are certainly not stopping here!
In order to maintain strong standards, upgrade the infrastructure and offer even greater musical diversity, the ticket price for next year will see a small, symbolic increase. We believe that, with your support, we can make this event even better!
