The Baltic culture and extreme music festival KILKIM ŽAIBU stays in the hospitable Aukštaitija region. The event will take place on June 20th – 22nd, 2025, in President Antanas Smetona’s manor museum territory in the Ukmergė district.
The three years of successful cooperation with Ukmergė’s culture and government representatives encouraged us to keep enjoying the town’s rock’n’roll hospitality. We have already tamed the new location and believe that the event in it can get even more cosy and inviting. The convenient location helps us bring more performers of all kinds from foreign countries. The festival’s programme is shaping up to be plentiful.
It’s no coincidence that the festival often takes place during the summer solstice. Since one of the core concepts of the festival has always been honouring ethnic traditions, there will be motifs of ancient Midsummer celebration traditions next to the quality alternative music concerts. The two-sided festival will yet again create an opportunity to celebrate Midsummer with thunder.
The festival has gone a long way, switched locations, changed the organising team members, was visited by numerous artists, and throughout its lifetime raised several metalhead generations. We experienced all sorts of things in such a long time: there were both hardships and joyful discoveries. The thing that drives us forward the most is the connection with you, meeting with wonderful people, and the feeling that what we’re doing is meaningful. Like it or not, the fiery rune of Thunder has found its place among the ranks of Baltic culture events. And we have no intentions of stopping!
We will want to see the festival’s best friends and artists that represent the festival’s spirit the best during the important 25-year anniversary. Naturally, we’ll be looking forward to new and promising artists, well-known names, and intriguing creators that have not yet visited our feast. The anniversary programme is shaping up to likely be the largest one to date!
In the upcoming year, taking the responsibility for the event’s previous inconveniences, we will do our best so you can feel as comfortable as possible during the event. The queues. Having met the Ukmergė town mayor and the region representatives, we have found several ways of solving the issue. We will have free parking, where people will be able to leave their vehicles and walk through the checkpoint on foot. Moreover, the audience will be allowed into the festival’s territory one day earlier. An additional camping area with a separate driveway will be prepared in the museum’s territory. Security – we aim for professionalism. Inspired by the “Gutalax” enthusiasm, “Toi Toi” promises to perform better in the bathroom department. The festival’s organisational team is already fully submerged in preparation work. We’re giving the festival all the strength we have!
The growing prices of services and utilities, as well as the burden of artist fees, have not avoided our festival. We are taking this unavoidability calmly and do not intend to give up. We want a plentiful, cosy, and high-quality event, so we are forced to symbolically raise the entrance fees.
This time there will be three types of early tickets:
Single-person TICKET – for all days;
FAMILY TICKET – for a family with children for all days;
Single-person VIP TICKET – for all days (a ticket for devoted fans, who wish to support the festival).
Single-day tickets with a discount will only be sold at the entrance.
