Before our most important event KILKIM ŽAIBU kicks-off, the team of “Pikuolis” planned festival fan gathering in the spring. This plan coincides with tour of leading forces of Polish Death metal!
Boys and girls, it’s official that Kilkim Žaibu Pre-Party will be brutal one - because on May 11 we will have the legendary Polish death metal band VADER in the town, supported by daredevils DECAPITATED and THY DISEASE, and moreover, later on two more metal bands will join the party!
The headliners of the evening, VADER started with heavy metal, eventually went through thrash and speed runs, and then in the late 1980s stabilized as a death metal band. Their name was inspired by Darth Vader from the “Star Wars” film series. According to Billboard magazine, by 2002 Vader sold approximately 500,000 releases around the world. Vader was formed in 1983, the same year as the very first death metal pioneers Possessed and Death. Now the band is touring around the world to present their latest album “The Empire”, which was released on November of 2016.
DECAPITATED is a Polish extreme metal band established in Krosno in 1996. Decapitated have gained recognition as one of the genre's most widely respected bands and one of the finest exponents of technical death metal. The band earned an international fan base in the underground music community, and became an innovating act in the modern death metal genre. They are praised by the most famous metal magazines like Terrorizer and Metal Hammer, and it is not for nothing because their music is extremely fast, groovy and catchy.
THY DISEASE was formed in 1999 in Cracow. The band’s music combines elements of modern groove/death metal and strong industrial influences enriched with electronic sounds. The first album of Thy Disease “Devilish Act Of Creation” was released in 2001. It was considered as a debut of the year among readers of Metal Hammer.
