TSJUDER is a powerhouse of true Norwegian black metal, emerging from Oslo in 1993. They quickly garnered attention for their commitment to the raw, aggressive sound that defined early black metal, drawing inspiration from legends like Darkthrone and Mayhem while steering clear of the atmospheric trends that many contemporaries adopted. Their music is a relentless barrage of blast beats, sharp tremolo riffs, and harsh guttural vocals, exploring themes of darkness, anti-religion, and misanthropy.
Over the years, TSJUDER has released several notable albums that have solidified their place within the scene. Their debut full-length, “Kill for Satan” (2000), set the tone with its ferocity and straightforward approach, emphasizing a no-compromise style. “Desert Northern Hell" (2004) is often regarded as a landmark release for the band, showcasing a refined production while maintaining their core, brutal sound. However, any newer album proves their resilience and ability to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving metal landscape. As well as TSJUDER’s sixth album, “Helvegr”, released in June 2023, is an overwhelming monster of a record that comes eight years after their previous studio effort. The explosive “Helvegr” proves that after 30 years, TSJUDER continues to keep the black flame alive.
TSJUDER is celebrated not only for their music but also for their live performances, which are known for their intensity and raw energy. The band's lineup has seen some changes over the years, but core members Nag (vocals/bass) and Draugluin (guitars) have remained constants, ensuring that the band’s signature sound stays intact. Their approach has been to deliver black metal that is unpolished, aggressive, and devoid of any external influences, sticking closely to the genre's original spirit. KILKIM ŽAIBU has been waiting for this True Black Metal volcano for years, and finally the band is on the way to their first show in Baltics!
