The Latvian archaic folklore band TREJASMENS was established in 2000. Inspired by history, ancient traditions and ancestor's fighting spirit, the band aims to spread folk music. Five men fellowship TREJASMENS performs ancient Latvian folk songs. The band plays ancient instruments, which include: drums, kankles, bagpipes, flutes, horns and an XX century mandolin.
Latvian archaic folklore nurturers TREJASMENS have already been to KILKIM ŽAIBU festival 19 years ago. It was so long ago, it seems it was in a previous lifetime, and the band members have changed since. Therefore, we can claim that this Latvian folklore band’s performance will be real news to the festival’s audience. Horns up for traditions and roots!
