ROMUVOS

Although ROMUVOS members are scattered across the Old Continent, the band’s founder and leader, Velnias, was born in Lithuania. This project is therefore his personal tribute to the land where his journey began, to the entire Baltic region, its history, nature, and the heritage of all that it encompasses. ROMUVOS is an epic metal saga of the senses, traditions, and a spiritual bond with the land that feels so close to the heart...

ROMUVOS’ musical essence lies in melancholic, majestic, and epic folk metal, characterized by choral choruses, narrative vocals, archaic motifs, and traditional folk performance techniques. Not necessarily an authentic recreation, but rather a sincere and deeply personal experience rooted in individual feelings and sensations, its exploration of the Baltic spirit is built upon a foundation of guitar-driven compositions, alongside which lyrical and vivid melodies ebb and flow subtly through a variety of instruments.

What began as a one-man project has now evolved into a fully-fledged band with a complete lineup and an ever-growing passion for the ancient spirit, the ancestral heritage of the Baltic peoples, centuries-old groves and forests, and the eternal gods. The band does not seek to recreate this tradition - they give it the power to rise again!
