    It’s been only five years, but PONTE DEL DIAVOLO from Turin has already stirred some noise in the dark scene. The quintet’s unusual mixture of dark metal and gothic currents impressed Season of Mist, resulting in the début album “Fire Blades From The Tomb“, released this year. The band is quickly gaining momentum with more and more of the largest European festivals wanting to share their vibe.

    Although PONTE DEL DIAVOLO claim to be standing on the foundation of traditional black metal, their music entwines dark doom, melodic black metal, heavy gothic, occult and psychedelic rock, crowned with a gloomy and cold vocals of Elena Camusso, inevitably bringing in darkwave, ethereal, and even deathrock vibes. Crafted from the opposites of music, usually born while improvising and during jam-sessions, their work developed into a dark, witchy, and mesmerizing horror/doom metal.

    The Italian five is known not only for the skilful combination of different musical currents, but also extraordinary live shows, using double bass parts to take the listener out into even greater depths and space. And to spice up this already exotic brew, there are the lyrics in their native Italian language, and the unexpected and intriguing passages of the clarinet...
