PANZERFAUST

Black Metal | Canada

PANZERFAUST (a German anti-tank weapon) is a Canadian black metal band formed in Toronto in 2005. The band examines a wide range of discomforting subjects throughout history, and these ideas are mirrored in the quartet's uniquely caustic and complex musical compositions. The resulting synthesis is what George Orwell once described as [a vision of the future] “a boot stamping on a human face forever.”

PANZERFAUST quite literally pissed on the Westboro Baptist Church, as well as quoting Shakespeare’s Macbeth and covering Johnny Cash on The Lucifer Principle, the band members  really have their own perspective on life. After being nearly killed in a car accident while on tour in 2017, the band is galvanized to create ambitious music, there is no time for ordinary. What makes their sound unique and cold is a pounding industrial blastbeat to the whole black metal fundament. Not to be forgotten the dual vocal attack with sometimes alternating vocal duties, sometimes teaming up to flatten all in their path. After such a musical offense you feel pleasantly battered and exhausted, and that’s the best compliment that true metal band can get.
