The work of the French NECROWRETCH returns metal to the origins of the extreme genre – a fierce and angry sound, unbridled energy, and absolute spiritual catharsis! Born to profess death metal, the band is currently expanding its stylistic framework, serving a highest quality death/black metal concoction.
The band’s leader and ideological mastermind Vlad has always strived for an uncompromising, extremely fast and aggressive sound – something that could be labelled as bestial. NECROWRETCH is dirt and sweat, a wall of guitar chaos, moulded into extreme, yet structured and neatly arranged music. Prioritizing the raw, cold and menacing features of death metal in their early period, they also gradually increased the weight of black metal aesthetics.
In 2024, NECROWRETCH released already the fifth studio album Swords of Dajjal. The musicians agree that this album not only marks a new chapter in the band’s life, but is also their most mature and subtle work. While maintaining their own unique style, the band expands and diversifies their sound, creating a high-quality and skilful product that undoubtedly ranks among the best heavy metal releases of last year!
