MERKFOLK

Band's name, in free translation from Norwegian, means „the bringer of folk”. MERKFOLK's tracks are ear-catching melodies played by accordion and violin with the heavy sound of guitars and drums, enriched by female growl vocals.

MERKFOLK was formed in 2013, founded by siblings – Irmina and Rafał. The band is playing regular gigs since November 2013 and in festivals like Ragnard Rock Festival (France), Hellhammer Festiwal (Czech Republic). In December 2015, folk-metal.nl acknowledged „The Folk Bringer” LP as debut album of the year.
