The quartet from Riga – DEODIUM – continues the best traditions of Latvian metal, creating high-quality and diverse music. Their black/death-based work also includes elements of thrash, groove or other subgenres, even reaching our for crust or horror, but naturally, we can feel the dominance of heavy guitars, brutal vocals and intense rhythmic parts.
It is worth mentioning that the band’s debut album Saules Kalpi was recognized as the debut of the year at the Latvian Metal Scene Awards, while the studio album Gaismogs, released in 2021, won the album of the year nomination. Despite these achievements, DEODIUM continues to improve its formula for success, making the guitars heavier and focusing on extremely rich growls and catchy melodic parts.
The band stepped into 2025 with new songs, increasing challenges, expanding geography of live gigs, and their debut visit to KILKIM ŽAIBU festival!
