Founded in 2021, DEATH IN TAIGA brings a blend of darkness, atmosphere, and raw energy to the Lithuanian metal scene.
Inspired by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago, the band’s name reflects their relentless, gritty, and uncompromising sound. Over several years of active work, the group has released four singles and their debut album „Insight//Frenzy“, where deathcore, hardcore, and black metal influences intertwine with intense experimentation and electronic elements.
In 2023, DEATH IN TAIGA represented Lithuania at the prestigious Wacken Metal Battle, further solidifying their distinctive place in the local scene. Their music evokes otherworldly atmospheres, pushing the boundaries of intensity and expression.
