    CELTIBEERIAN

    Folk Metal | Spain

Although CELTIBEERIAN is often introduced as a folk metal band, it is not just another typical representative of the genre. Quite the contrary – the team conveys the key elements of the style with elegance and precision, embracing a variety of different motifs and influences. That’s what makes their work so interesting and appealing.

The band has gained international recognition with the release of their second album – „Keltorevolution“ – and their breakthrough was further boosted by a collaboration with folk metal icons KORPIKLAANI. Their work offers a rich variety of unexpected twists and turns with the repertoire featuring acoustic tracks, while the latest material hints at echoes of the Greek gods ROTTING CHRIST, alongside motifs of American alternative, FINNTROLL-esque polkas, and classic riffs drawn from heavy and gothic metal.

True to form, CELTIBEERIAN’s sound is rich with fiddles, bagpipes, and other traditional instruments, yet the core of the sound is driven by dominating heavy metal guitar riffs. Fast, dynamic, and melodic, the band’s music never feels formulaic; it is solid, meticulously developed, and firmly grounded in local traditions and rituals, perhaps explaining why their folk metal resonates with such subtlety and soul.
