We’re thrilled to say that after ten years of trying to make it happen, the legendary CARCASS are finally coming to Lithuania for their first-ever show! This is the band that needs no introduction – innovators, rule-breakers, and genre-defining musicians whose work could easily fill an entire Wikipedia page on death metal.
Whatever CARCASS touched turned to gold – sparking long-lasting trends or becoming the benchmark for entire subgenres. Starting out as part of
the new wave of death/grind, the Brits were always chasing unexplored shapes and never stood still – earning their place among the very first to forge melodic death, death’n’roll and other offshoots of the genre. CARCASS weren’t afraid to weave medical themes and terminology into death metal, giving the music a far more corporeal, clinically precise take on life’s final moments. Starting out in the mid-1980s, CARCASS gradually grew into one of the defining voices and most impactful bands in the entire heavy music scene.
Although the band stepped away for a decade during what was essentially their peak, CARCASS’s impact on the metal scene remains fundamental and impossible to overstate. Returning from their slumber in 2007, the band went on to release several new albums – just as sharp and intriguing as their early work. From melodic to grind-tinged riffs, from chaotic bursts to tightly structured compositions, the Brits have always impressed with fresh ideas and a wide creative range – all while keeping that unmistakable, signature CARCASS death-metal backbone.
