Death metal aficionados or Norwegian cannibals – BLOOD RED THRONE have always had a familiar and unmistakable face: the classic death metal formula. Formed in 1998, the Norwegians have consistently cultivated straightforward, fast-paced heavy music, driven by powerful vocal performances and dealing with death, blood and murder.

Surprisingly, in recent years the band has demonstrated just as much creativity as during its early days. Although over time BLOOD RED THRONE's sound has evolved from a more American-influenced approach towards a more European, and especially Scandinavian, style of death metal, their music remains characteristically straightforward: typically choppy death metal guitar riffs, brutal vocals and relentless drumming. To the untrained ear, their music might seem monotonous, but fans of the genre respect the band for preserving the traditions and delivering an immensely powerful wall of sound.

While BLOOD RED THRONE cannot be accused of betraying their ideals or chasing commercial success, they are undoubtedly a well-established name in the death metal scene, having enjoyed their fair share of success over the years. Nevertheless, throughout their decades-long career, the band has been distinguished above all by its enviable consistency, a musical style that has changed very little, and an unwavering commitment to delivering heavy metal of the highest calibre and quality.
