Canadian bardic poets of the extreme underground, BLASPHEMY – an absolute cult of style, a living legend of the genre!
Black/death or death/black – what’s the difference?! What really matters is the bestial label. Four decades of existence, marching to the same uncompromising rhythm of feral guitar noise – you have to be seriously unhinged for such madness!
BLASPHEMY were pioneers of what we can boldly call a crushing wall of sound: relentless drums, chaotic guitars, filth and horror, violence and total blasphemy. But don’t be fooled – in this, if it can even be called “music,” you can still hear traces of structure, along with lighter punk or speed metal riffs and influences. Truly Wow!
As befits the best, BLASPHEMY have only two full-length albums in their arsenal. And rightly so – this kind of creation isn’t for the weak. The demos, however, are pure trve kvlt! Even if you’re not a fan of this kind of artistic expression, a mysterious and intense BLASPHEMY performance is a way to touch something primordial, profane, and immortal.
