Staying close to their roots of atmospheric and dreamy guitars, AORTES today offer their listeners a much sterner and heavier face. Depressive and heavy guitars, gloomy and negative musical vibes – their work is fierce, menacing, and turns the broad smiles of their audience into angry grimaces.
A few will remember that AORTES debuted as a one-man project concealed under title of autistic syndrome, wandering the enlightened and warm
paths of instrumental post-rock. Over time, the band’s sound varied from atmospheric riffs to more massive guitar passages. In recent years, AORTES became heavier than ever, offering prominent sludge and post-hardcore melodies alongside calm passages. The vocals, which have become a comprehensive part of the band’s repertoire, cemented their already rich creative output.
The band has already released four studio albums, as well as a slew of other formats. Wherever they are, AORTES proves that they have no equal in
the genre in Lithuania to this day.
